How Transponder Technology Works
When you turn your key in the ignition (or press the “Start” button), a series of invisible events happen in milliseconds:
The Signal: The car sends out a tiny burst of radio energy.
The Response: The chip inside your key absorbs that energy and broadcasts a unique alphanumeric code back to the car.
The Verification: The car’s ECU checks this code against its internal database.
The Access: If it’s a match, the immobilizer is disabled, and the fuel system is allowed to start the engine.
